Lionel C. Briand
Welcome to the personal homepage of Prof. Lionel C. Briand; Canada Research Chair (Tier1), IEEE Fellow, ACM Fellow, Fellow of the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada.
I currently have shared appointments between the Nanda Laboratory, EECS Department, University of Ottawa, Canada, and Lero, the national Irish centre for software research hosted by the University of Limerick, Ireland, that I lead as director. One of my objectives is to create synergies between the two institutions.
My main research interests and expertise are:
Trustworthy AI
Testing, verification, and validation of software systems, including machine learning and security aspects
Applications of machine learning and evolutionary computing to software engineering
Automated regulatory and legal compliance
Model-driven development and engineering
Requirements engineering
Software quality assurance
